Bastrop Animal Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based pet rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting the abandoned, abused, and injured pets of Bastrop County.
We help homeless pets by returning them to their rightful owners, and place unwanted or stray animals with new families. We also increase awareness of Bastrop County's companion pet overpopulation, and coordinate with other organizations to help save as many of these lives as possible.
Bastrop Animal Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing our community by providing residents with resources and education needed to encourage responsible pet ownership, including low-cost spay and neuter services, annual vaccinations, parasite prevention, and safe comfortable chain free living conditions.
Animals in our care are spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist pets in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, animals in the greatest need take priority.

With each program, volunteer positon, and event we add or improve our focus continues to be; Save More Lives. Whether it's making blankets for our foster pets, hosting a donation fundraiser, fostering a pet, volunteering your time at off-site adoptions, or raising awareness for our mission, the BAR family happily welcomes.
